I just wanted to tell you both what a great experiance it was dealing with Fenton Fire in the recent purchase of the 1959 Crown Firecoach from Mr. Mike McDonald. As background I am new to the hobby of collecting/restoring antique automobiles and trucks having just retired from the Railroad after 36 years. I’ve always been interested in Firetrucks, and learned of Fenton Fire, and ultimately Mr. McDonald’s wonderful machine while “surfing” the internet. With no prior knowledge of where and how to purchase such vehicles, your Company was a great source for a private collector like myself. Its been a constant learning curve. I have never bought a vehicle sight unseen let alone had it shipped cross country. Inspection, payment and transport were all sources of great concern for me, and I know my hesitation caused Mr. McDonald no shortage of stress. The cooperation, honesty and patience of Mr. McDonald goes beyond words! He made sure the Crown was in tip top shape, changing oil and filter and having his personal mechanic (who has maintained the Crown for the entire 20 years he owned it), even come in on overtime to change a leaking fuel pump! He made the Firetruck available for my Inspector, and assisted in showing him the key areas. (Although professional, I don’t think my inspector was familiar with firetrucks). And Mr. McDonald was more than patient in waiting while I arranged the funds from my financial accounts, which was daunting in itself. I think he’s a credit and testament to your Company in what kind of people you represent as clients. Bringing buyer and seller together is the goal, and your Company and Mr. McDonald went above and beyond for me! I hope to use Fenton Fire in the future, and will certainly recommend them to my newfound Firetruck Muster friends. Sincerely,
